Troisième partie de ce nouveau projet consacré à la restauration d'une cox standard de 1970
La 2eme partie était consacrée au démontage des éléments mécanique et le remise en état du châssis  

Au programme aujourd'hui : La caisse est expédiée au sablage-métallisation pour un nettoyage en profondeur
Pendant ce temps là ... dépointage et modification des longerons
La forme des longerons de remplacement est destinée aux coccinelles plus récentes et il comporte un plat "en trop"
Ce plat est visible sous la moquette mais cette modification n'est pas uniquement esthétique ...
l'ouverture des longerons permet aussi d'en traiter l'intérieur ainsi que les tuyaux d'air chaud.

Entre temps, la caisse est revenue du sablage recouverte d'une bonne couche d'apprêt ... "place aux découvertes" !
Elle retrouve momentanément son châssis ... le temps de souder les renforts permettant de procéder aux découpes

The second part was devoted to dismantling the mechanical elements and chassis restoration

What's on today: The body is sent to sandblasting-metallization for deep cleaning
Meanwhile ... depointing and modification of heather channels
The shape of this replacement parts is made for the latest beetle and it has a flat "in excess"
This flat is visible under the carpet but this modification is not just cosmetic ...
Open heather channels also makes it possible to treat his interior and the heather pipe.

Meanwhile, the body was back from sandblasting covered with a coat of primer ... "time of discovery!"
It regains momentarily his chassis ... time to weld reinforcements to make the next cutouts

Seconde partie de ce nouveau projet consacré à la restauration d'une cox standard de 1970.
La première partie avait été consacrée au démontage des éléments extérieurs et au décaissage. 

Au programme aujourd'hui : retrait du moteur, de la boite et des trains roulants.
Ensuite ... découpage des planchers, mise à nu du châssis puis soudure des planchers de bonne qualité.
Ici, les longerons sont utilisés comme gabarit pour modifier les supports de cric qui ne sont pas à la bonne hauteur.

What's on today: Removing the engine, gearbox and running gear
Then ... cutting floors, Stripped Bare the frame and welding new good qualities floors
Here, the side members are used as a template to modify jacking points witch are not at the right height
