Premier Dynotest pour notre projet 58 et son 1915 cc samedi dernier  
Avec un résultat de 136 CV sans la courroie ( et 120 CV avec la courroie ) 
Ce test and tune n'a pas permis d'augmenter la puissance maximum mais bien de récupérer de la puissance à tous les régimes.

pour rappel voici la composition de ce moteur 1915 cc "routier" :
Bloc Magnesium VW rectifié, Vilbrequin à contrepoids DPR - 8 pions et volant moteur allégé, Bielles origine révisées,
Kit Pistons A/A racing 94, arbre à came FK43, Culbuteurs 1.4 CB, Tige poussoirs BERG, Culasses CB "Los Panchetos" 40x35,
Pompe à huile 26mm et Full Flow BERG, Carter huile supplémentaire CB et une paire de Weber 44 ...

First Dynotest for this '58 beetle project with a 1915 cc engine last saturday
With a result of 136 HP without belt (and 120 HP with the belt )
This "Test and Tune" on the Dyno did not increase the maximum power but lot of power was recovered at all RPM ...

Composition of this 1915 cc "Street" engine :
Machined magnesium VW case, DPR counterweighted crankshaft - 8 dowels and lightened flywheel, originals revised rods,
94 A/A Racing Pistons, FK43 camshaft, CB 1.4 lifters, BERG pushrods, 40x35 "Los Panchetos" CB Perf. heads,
BERG 26mm oil pump and Full Flow, CB external oil sump and a pair of Weber 44 ...

La restauration d'une cox 58' démarrée par le client que nous continuons pour lui ...

La semaine passée nous étions resté avec l'installation du moteur ... qui est maintenant finalisé
Ce fut ensuite au tour des divers éléments composants l'intérieur de retrouver leur place ...
(Sièges d'époque, Ciel de toit et moquettes réalisés sur mesure avec un matériaux identique à celui d'époque)

Voilà c'est la fin de ce projet ...
Mais il n'est pas dit que vous ne verrez pas ici quelques photos de la voitures lors de son premier entretien ...

Après ce texte, je vous rajoute quelques photos de la voiture, telle qu'elle était "au départ" en 2009 ...  





Here are the 10th and probably final episode of our " '58 project ":
Restoration of a '58 Beetle, started by a client and finished by us for him ...

Last week we were left with the engine installation ... which is now finalized
It was then the turn of the various elements of interior to take their places again ...
(Seats of this period, Headliner and carpets custom made with a material identical to original of that period)

This is the end of this project ...
But it is not said that you will not see here some photos of the cars in his first service ...

La semaine passée nous avions réalisés les premiers essais moteur sur le banc,
nous poursuivons avec le placement du carton pare-feu, le raccordement du récupérateur d'eau (uniquement sur les modèles 58'-59')
et la pose du moteur dans son compartiment.

Last week we make the first motor tests on the bench,
We continue with the placement of the firewall cardboard, connection of the wather collector ('58-'59 only)
and installation of the engine in his compartment.

nous poursuivons avec leurs ajustements, la modification de la tôle pour le passage du radiateur "Type 4" plus volumineux
la préparation et la mise en peinture "noir satiné structuré" en cabine ... et on termine avec les premiers essais sur le banc.

Last week we started to mount the engine tin,
We continue with their adjustments, the modification of the sheet metal for the larger "Type 4" radiator,
preparation and "structured satin black" painting in the cabin ... and finish with the first tests on the bench.

In episode 4, i had detailled the composition of this 1915 cc road engine and the start of its assembly.
Here are some photos of the following steps ... the block is closed, flywheel endplay set up, Deck height measurement
and finish with the presentation of the exhaust manifold and the adjustment of the first engine tin.
